About Us

Meg’s Village is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was established on May 5, 2020. Meg’s Village funds rescue dogs with disabilities, special needs, or medical conditions resulting from neglect/abuse. Meg’s Village advocates for the human animal bond through therapy animals.

The non-profit was established in honor of Meg aka “Meggie.” Meg was a rescue who was a victim of horrific neglect and abuse leaving her disabled with many obstacles to overcome. Thanks to Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue, the support of an amazing village of wonderful people rallying around her, and a family who absolutely adored and loved her, Meg recovered, went on to become a therapy dog, and lived life to the fullest. She brought comfort and joy to people and taught many about how powerful the human animal bond is. She was an inspiration to her village, the tripaw community, and the therapy dog community. May Meg’s Village 501c3 non-profit go on to help fund dogs like Meg providing hope so that they can have the wonderful lives they deserve.
